So TODAY was supposed to be THE day that the Ravens brought down the Steeler Nation. Instead we had horrible second half as always and gave the game away that should have been OURS for the taking! FTW?
At least I had some good company to cheer and boo with at my party.
I want to thank 18th Letter, Kuppler, Raj, Nicole, Shaunta, Pitts, Marlon, L. Scurry, Nyssa and Larry for showing up to the shin dig. We had good food, good drinks and even after the loss of the Ravens to the Steelers we managed to have fun playing the Wii. (Pictures to be added)
Its funny how the spirit and life seems to have disappeared from this city though because of the loss.
After a friend shared this poem on FB I just had to repost it here because I think it summed up what happened in the game better than I could in any post I wrote.

Twas the week before the AFC Championship and all through the city
Every TV was tuned to what could be called The Battle of the Hard Nosed and Gritty
Ravens jerseyS were thrown across every Fans back with care!
With the hope that 2010 would surely be our year!!
The Offense was stacked with the Best NFL of Players!
While visions of the Lomabardi trophy Dance in Rays Head!
Harbaugh in his head phones and Cam in his Cap
Mattenson in his Skully despite this year Crap!
Pittsburgh first series of the game a penalty and then a score!
And Every Baltimore Fans said "They seen this before!"
Then to our liking the the One we Adore
Ray Rice Had a touchdown, You could tell from the Noise!
The Playing field was even , It was anyones game!
Here comes T Sizzle to lay Stake to his claim!
A Hit, A Sack, A fumble Big Ben looked Deranged!
A Past to Todd Heap could this be our Chance!
To Add insult to injury to the Terrible Towels!
Raven across the entire country use it for their bowels!
No one could have predicted this potential Slaughter
The Ravens up 21 to 7 at the end of the Second Quarter?
The Atmosphere was full of Purple Raven Cheers!
The Sentiment that we could only get better from here!
Then the nerves of Ray Rice, got the best of the man!
A ball covered in Steeler Miracle Oil slipped from his hand!
So this is the play where the Ravens Begin to Self Destruct!
You could see it in Harbaughs Eyes >>>>Ah Fckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
Surely the decline was eminent and set!
With Cam Cameron and Greg Mattisen it a sure bet!
As the pendulum of luck swung Pittsburgh Way.
Average Joe Flacco spins into decay!
A Sack, A fumble and overthrown Pass!
Every Fan in Baltimore Wanted his AZZZZ ( to Gasp..clean version)!
For the 1st time since the openning, Pittsburgh had the clout!
But Sizzle, Ray, Ngata and Reed would deliver a 3 and out!
The Peel was kicked far up into the Air.
And Landed in the hands of the Defensive Back Webb!
Touchdown!! The Baltimore fans would cheer!
But the Uniformed Umpires said we got it from here!
A BS holding penalty would be the called!
So with out the lead Ravens would be handed the ball.
During the Off Seasons The Ravens had stacked The Deck!
Stallworth, Housh, Bolqin were written fat Checks.
Across the middle Flacco through a quick jab
Touchdown? Ah Snap, this chump Bolqin done drop the Freaking pass!!
So instead of lead we get a tie!
Not a got a good sign, do I need to say Why?
Because Big Ben has made his Career to Cut the Deal!
To Send the Ravens Homes with a stamp that reads "Bird Killed".
But this Defenses was relentless although the Offense was lame.
Here come T Sizzle, Who Sacked rothelsberger again.
We back them up and stop them twice.
It a 3rd and 19, this is could be our night!!!
From the sideline Matteson would send in a defensive call.
That with the pressure that Ben had been getting it all day, Baffled us All.
To only rush 3 and drop 8 what was he thinking?
Oh we back to that Crap, Preventive Defense!
So here go, Steel Nation in the Red Zone!
To pack the Ravens Bags and Send them Home!
But Ravens refused to Lay down with more Defensive Stops!
It would have happened with out the steelers getting help for the Uniformed cops!
With less than 2 minutes left the Ravens get a last chance.
To continue the parade to attend the Big dance!
Cam was asleep with no 2 minute offense!
Pass over the middle ...one more nail in the coffin.
TJ whined and complained all year to have a greater stake in the Team.
He couldn't be more critical to continue the dream!
A perfect call, a perfect pass right in his chest!
Right out of his hand, a whining, sad Mess!!!!
So here is how I this poem will conclude!
With The Ravens and the Raven Fans sitting on the couch crying the blues!
A game that was clearly in their Hands!
A Defense that continued to satisfy their Fans.
With an offense thats plays with a level inadequate athletic indecency!
Hopefully With A defensive/offensive Coordinator Vacancy!
With Referees that decide championship games!
Yet Still with LOYAL FANS who still Love the Ravens the Same!!
