12.4.11-Living the dream

WHAT is wrong with me?  I am in beautiful Miami, FL and the weather is gorgeous but I just can't seem to let myself go.  Even before I packed my bags to come out here I was feeling weird about this trip.  Its like no matter what I do or where I go I feel that nothing is good enough.  I just feel stagnant right now in my current life position but I don't think money is the solution to my problem.  Of course more of it couldn't and wouldn't hurt but at the same time I don't think it would truly solve what's going on within me.

We've all heard the phrase "Money can't buy you happiness" but then I recently heard a twist to this old adage, "Money can't buy you happiness but it sure as hell can make a down payment on it."

Its like I'm in a conundrum.  After watching all 3 films in the http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ series the idea of chasing money and riches just seems stupid.  But at the same time I want to have a comfortable life where me and my own are taken care of, bills are paid, debt is GONE and there is still some cheddar left over to help other people out.

Am I lying to myself when I say money doesn't matter? Am I lying to myself when I say that I don't need to floss and be flashy?  Am I lying to myself when I say its stupid to buy designer clothes and what not? Do I secretly want those things?  Put a pin in that thought (It really doesn't make ANY sense to spend hundreds of dollars on "designer" anything when it only cost them PENNIES to make. So thats just stupid in my opinion and is an idiotic economical move.  Call me frugal or a penny pincher  just don't call me cheap.  THIS post wasn't even supposed to be about the topic of money but I keep thinking to myself even if I had "enough" money I still wouldn't be satisfied or happy because its NOT about the money.  Sure I would love to be on the other side of money and not have to worry about bills and basically live a care free life. But it just seems like even if all of that were my reality I would still not be able to truly enjoy it.  Does this mean I am broken?

Why can't I just be happy and enjoy where I am and where I am headed?  Its like I would feel guilty about being successful, but why?  I can't put my finger on it yet. Maybe its time to go on a journey of self discovery and get back to the basics of what truly makes me happy and enriches one's brief moments on this place we call Earth.

I do know the more and more I think about it...I want someone I can SHARE my life with... for richer or poorer I just want someone in my corner that I can root for just as hard as they root for me.
